I am the librarian at the <a href="http://www.newton.ac.uk/">Isaac Newton Institute for Mathematical Sciences</a>, University of Cambridge and have been in post for almost 11 years. I am a solo librarian - although I do get some assistance from other members of staff on an ad-hoc basis. The library is a small, specialist research library that serves the needs of visiting scholars in the mathematical sciences.<br /><br />I am taking part in CPD 23 things because I hope to learn a lot about myself in the next 15 weeks and also learn from colleagues in the library world. <br /><br />I am really looking forward to investigating the 23 things with&nbsp;the weekly structure.
